Sunny..finally
Do you like chocolates? Bet alot of us do, especially majority of female population. Hey, not trying to be sexist here. However, I guess it's true? Because females tend to have sweet tooth? Hehe.
Personally, I don't really like chocolates ... now. However, such edible objects containing milk and cocoa, some costing hundreds in price, holds certain significance to me: Chocolates is a gift to express love. On the other hand, one of the perfect (for me, the CORE) medicine to cure Depression and heart-broken.
Set the ellaboration aside. Let's talk about how "ruthless" chocolate "ruled" a part of our childhood... hey..wait a minute, it's my blog! Oki, correction! My childhood!
To much as I recall, I think my first sensible taste of chocolate was Pokki biscuit. Don't really know what's the actual brand. But remember those red cylindrical packaging which you open the seal on top and you dip the long biscuit into this chocolate portion? It's every child's version of heavenly Fondue! I tell you.
Next is Nutela chocolate spread. Hah! Sounds familiar? Yes, it's simply irresitable to have it generously spread over bread. Plain bread just don't taste as unappealing anymore!
Of course, not forgetting the most prominent Ferrero Roche'. These nuts coated "luring" balls are delicious. It's even satisfyingly savouring when you bit into the crunchiness of the toffle inside before tasting yet another layer of rich aromatic chocolate. This long establish brand have never failed making your heart weak with yearning. Awww... Wait! Other mega old time favourites.. "Have a break.. have a KITKAT!" and "M&Ms: Melts in your mouth, not in your hand".
Others? Remember small players like Milo nuggets and Timeout.
As I've grown, perhaps it's due to me wanting to lose weight or the "healthy living" consciousness, my taste bud lost it's liking for chocolates. Fortunately, the "sweetness" of chocolate didn't ceased to exist. Adolescence revealed that chocolate wasn't only sweet-tasting in the mouth but effusive within the heart.
All thanks to the emergence of Merci chocolates, the advertisment and recognisable theme influenced the idea greatly, that chocolates is a way of saying Thank you. For me lah. Ever since, with the realisation that our pocket money is sufficient for the purchase of chocolates, chocolates became a symbol of gifts for feelings expression.
Well, what can I say, it never fails to melts the other party's heart and put a smile on faces. A box of chocolates from me became a gift of genuine love (loveship, kinship and friendship) ever since.
Like Romeo said "Love is tender sweet and a bitter choking gall". During the mid 1990s there was a research propagating that chocolates contained a substances that aids in lifting the moods of human beings. It didn't take me till early 2000's to justified this amazing yet relieving truth.
There's no other better self-help remedy than chocolates for someone who's heartbroken and feeling sad.
Wuao.. what a chocolatey blog! Before I leave, here's something I've remonified:
A chocolate a day keeps the sadness away.
