Hot and Prosperity
Happy Chinese New Year! How's the lunar year of the Pig for you? Well, mine's pretty enjoyable though the festive spirit's getting dull annually. So does the amount of Ang Bao ( Red packets in Hokkien) being collected.
Anyway, you must be wondering how I celebrated this festive holidays since CNY eve last Saturday. Amazingly, I spent a magical time with someone really special this year. We met some friends and literally squeezed ourselves through the sardine-packed crowd along the "Chinatown Bazaar". Although it feel rather uneasy with all the perspiring and occasional frustration of being stuck in the abyss of humans, our hands bonded tightly as though undivided as we strive our way through the terrible human traffic!
Well, tradition held that one should spend CNY eve at individual own homes. Begged to differ, I spent the night at special someone's house (Hmmm.. no cheeky ideas hor). So on and so forth..before I know it, I've spent 4 delightful nights staying out. Oops.
In these 4 days, we watched Jack Neo's lastest local production, "Just Follow Law" at Eng Wah, Suntec. The show was hilarious, close to our hearts (especially for those working) and touching. Of course, we knew there were more shadowed areas in the practical government society which wasn't depicted in the film, openly. Nevertheless, the movie never failed to issue some of the "unspoken rules" and the ridiculous attitudes of workers in Singapore society.
What's "CC" in email? It means "cheei ca ching" ("Covering up the mess" or "clean backside" literally in Hokkien). "Bcc"? Better cc.. haha
Other activities included eating alot of Carl's Junior. Omg. Twice in these 4 days period. Haha. Shopping (bought two Levis Tees) and visiting "River Ang Bao" at Marine Bay. Fantastic!!
As I always said, everything is life is balanced. The joy was compensated with the undesirable pain having to stay at home and continue the battle with this bitter old man. Well... feel like moving out.. (well, who doesn't possess such rebellious thoughts before, right?) In my case, however, I supposed I meant it. And intended not to inform anyone, should I decide to shift out.
Oki.. that's all for this blog for those "hungry" die-hard fans for my blogs. Hehe.. just kidding. Wish everyone a prosperous, peaceful and smooth-sailing year ahead!
