Raining
Today's a colourful day though it rained in the afternoon. Thank goodness, the rain cleared a morning for me to proceed with my intended run. Managed an heart-lifting 8km run until I met a demoralising runner who overtook me during my last 200 metres along the road. Apparently, I was speechless when I saw the T-shirt which he was wearing, saying 42.142km on the back.
After which, I went back for some weights lifting before preparing for campus. Yup. I didn't type wrongly. Had to travel back to school for an intended Statistics lecture since it was taught by the Australian lecturer from RMIT. Well.. before that, it's mentionable I spent abit of time, deciding which jeans was appropriate to match the black Levis T-shirt I was wearing. Hehe. Thank God, this "distress" didn't cause me to be late for school.
Statistics lecture was pretty boring. Most of the time, ashamed, I didn't know what was going on. Well.. hopefully I'll be able to grasp the content as soon as possible before I plunge deeper into more doubts.
Apprantly I misjudged the time lecture was going to end. Thought the lecturer had only abit to cover. Presumed an early dismissal, I brought forward my meeting time with Mohan. Sigh. To my dismay, it didn't work. Ended up, I was pretty estrangled with choices. Spent a considerable amount of time working out the best route and transportation I ought to take, in clause of arriving the destination punctually. Ha!
My final decision? Took a cab down from school to town. En route, the taxi driver was pleading a favour. He's a single parent of two children who were primary 3 and 4. Sadly, both of them were in need of chinese tutors to help them with their poorly-faired subject. Well, the busy taxi driver was troubled with methods in which he could acquire the tutors since he had to work to earn enough. Well.. perhaps it was out of pity, I volunteered to do him a favour to do a registration with an online tuition agency. Hmm.. hope it will do him abit of help.
Mohan and I had dinner (the only meal I had for the entire day) at a place where we've not visited for awhile. It was the Mos Burger outlet near Centrepoint. It's certainly nostalgic. Recall we used to visit there only during times I wanted to complain how ugly I feel for the day. Omg.
After which, we spent our time at the Heeren before catching the movie The Queen at Cineleisure, Mohan's preferred cinema complex. The show turned out to be rather dialogue requiring, in order for understandability of what's going on. Despite this, it was pretty enjoyable. Not forgetting, both of us agreed there was something particular about the music in the movie . Personally, I felt it resembled those old comedies music while Mohan described it as sleezy.
It's based on the British Monachies. It spotlights the Queen of England, who faced tremenduous challenges in time of her legacy. Especially, her involvement and befallen expectations of her during the incident of Princess Diana's death in summer of 1997. The Prime Minister was featured too.
Having done with the movie, I consulted Mohan's help in helping me understand certain issues which I wasn't familiar in my current law text. We spent a rather delightful time chat over coffee too.
Almost unexplainably, an obsession for study has developed. I'm overwhelmed by a sudden thirst for further comprehension, determined appreciation and deeper knowledge. It's been very long since I've been like this again... Sigh. I'm beginning to fall in love with this law module...
