De one with Gang Xmas-outing

Light rain...wet payments

It didn't rain as heavy within expectation. We had a situation meeting up yesterday. The last person, who was joining us for this year's Xmas dinner, only arrived one hour late. Worst thing, we couldn't decide by then exactly where to dine. Initially, we wanted to fix ourselves with N.Y.D.C. Then again, that plan was scribbed to Sakae. But then, our "Mr Cinderalla" couldn't eat raw seafood. Hence, we landed ourselves with dinner buffet at Siam Kitchen.

The service wasn't really good. They practised their bussiness gimmicks on us. Though it's buffet and it states "eat all you can". The re-order could only come in "rounds" and only after each "round" have been fully served. Thankfully, I'm easy with food. However, deep down, the rest of us were actually thought Sakae was better.

I made a sacrifice. They ended up ordering too much on the third (and last) round. I had to fill up some extra space in my filled stomach. After that, Weili and Clara joined us. By the time we finished Xmas dinner 2006, it was already 10pm.

An unexpected accident occured. Loo Wan discovered he lost $100 form his pocket. The "dark mist of cloud" shouldered around him as we dragged ourselves, partly aimlessly, towards The Rooftop at The Esplanade. The view of the CBD buildings, all dazzling lighted, was spendid. The atmosphere was quiet all because what was supposed for sweet and whispering couples all "littered" around.

We finally found a spot to settle before Weili was kinda "cramped" since it was late and her caring boyfriend was here to pick her home. It didn't take awhile before we were rushing to commence our "glamour specialty" of this year's Xmas gathering: Gift Exchange.

Budget was between $7 - 10 bucks. Of course, exceeded budgets are welcomed (well, mine did exceeded the budget lah. Bought a box of Belgium Chocolates from Candy Empire). There were nine of us (our OCT couldn't make it). In the end, there were two pairs of us who actually exchanged opposite's parties' gifts directly. Jessamine had Clara's and Clara had Jessamine's. I had Loo Wan's and Loo Wan had mine. Haha.

Ooh.. Loo Wan's gift was a nice wrapped snowman wrapper which a fan he took effort to make. Within it, contained an adorable orange Elmo mug (which Loo Wan keep insisting it was better looking than the mug they got for me during my birthday).

:: Thanks Loo Wan!!

Jielong's was a beautiful and elegant calendar with notebook. Ivan bought Ferrero Roche. Kok Sin got a glittering Crystal bear figurine. Weili bought body soap with something and Gek Kiah got those hanging bags from IKEA. Apologies. Not sure about Clara's and Jessamine.

Xmas '06 outing was short but fantastic. It was even more interested, the gang actually followed the dress code (suggested by me) of White Christmas when everybody wore something white! Hehe... To end it all, my close friend bestowed me an unexpected gifts too.

:: Thanks alot Clara. And all those (Joseph, Gek Kiah, Janice, Teacher Lorna, etc) who sent me lovely greeting cards!

Today, I didn't really do much. Went on our Toa Payoh for an evening's movie: Night At the Musuem. Hilarious show. Something beyond imagination lik Jimanji typed of show. "Some people are born great. Others have greatness given upon them".

2 more days to Christmas!
